Dapat petua from org urut...

If you face engorged breast, if it possible, do not see the doctor since they will prescribe u with pills to stop milk production. U should try this method first:-

1) Beli garam kasar

2) Sangai/goreng garam kasar...careful, not until the salt melt...

3) Bungkus dgn kain (mcm bunjut)

Once done, u take the bunjut and place it at the engorged area...kire macam tuam la....after 30 minutes of doing it, try to pump the milk out..then continue tuam..try this for one day.. kalu x kurang SILA JUMPA DOKTOR!!!takut sudah ada nanah di dalam....

I have done it.. it works well...dulu sebulan 3 kali gerenti bengkak sbb byk sgt susu....

ALZA

New alza advanced with plate no WTU 5090 will be on street soooonnn................

We booked this alza back in Dec 2009. We have to wait for 4 months since Alza Advanced starts production only in March 2010..

However, I have difficulty to choose the color. We book white color..however, the color is not available yet. Currently only have black...Do you think I should just take black color or wit for the white color..

Using Bottle to Feed Baby

Just received a phone call from a friend. She asked me whether is it ok to direct breastfeed ur baby when u are on leave?

Actually, babies are getting smarter day by day..If you are a working mom, make sure at least 2 times a day u feed ur baby using bottle. This is because, once u are back at work, the baby may be choosy...since she's able to get direct breastfeed the whole day.

One more advice, when feeding your baby with bottle, make sure it is done by someone else such as the husband. The baby can smell your body and this may caused confusion. Scared that once u feed ur baby with bottle she doesn't want the direct feeding.

Cow's Milk

Since I don't manage to breastfeed my son, I have to give him formula milk..I give him ENFALAC A+. A few days, I found some rashes on his body...Thought that it is due to allergy, I change to ENFALAC Lactose Intolerance. Not rashes found however, he doesn't like the formula very much compared to previous one. Hence resulted in difficulty to "buang air besar".

So we went to Hospital Pantai. When I informed her what happen, she start to asked me a few question such as drinks that took during my pregnancy and breastfeed time. She said that what we drink during that time flow back to breastmilk. Since I drink anlene and Dutch Lady during that time, it should not be any problem with my son taking cow's milk. So she ask us to start back with ENFALAC A+.

Back at home, we did what the paed advice and fortunately no rashes anymore. The rashes previously he had might be caused by switching from breastmilk to formula milk.

Im not so sure how true is this or it just a coincident, but no harm in trying right??...so pregnant ladies out there, maybe you can start drinking cow's milk so that u wont have any trouble buying formula milk for ur baby.

Petua to increase milk supply

Here additional petua that I remember:-

1) Makan Jantung pisang..buat la ulam ke..masak lemak ke..gerenti within a few hours ur b**bs akan penuh

2) Makan Oat

3) Minum fresh milk

4) Makan buah halba

Breastmilk storage

Upon confirmation with paed and gynae..here is the correct breastmilk storage:-

1) If the milk is stored in refrigerator it can last up to 72 hours.

2) If the milk is stored in freezer, it can last up to 6 months.

3) If you buy ice cream freezer and open it once a week, it can be lasted for 1 year.

4) Once you warmed up the milk, it can be used for the next 8 hours only.

Things to buy for new mommies

If found that these are the items which u need most:-

1) Sterilizer

2) Warmer

3) Milk storage

- This meant for working moms. If you have a lot of milk..U wouldnt want to waste all your money buying bottle. Beside this packaging is space friendly compared to bottles.

4) Nursing bra

- Since I have big b**bies it was very hard for me to find nursing bra. Due to some surfing, I manage to get cheap nursing bra with desired size. Here is the link http://mamamodern.com. It only cost me RM54.90 for a pack of 2.

These is what I can think right now, will add more later..

Breastpump

My first breastpump was avent manual breastpump..I start will 40z bottle..Due to increase in milk supply, I have to upgrade the bottle to 90z. 2 week after my baby boy was born I bought 110z bottle just for pump.

After my maternity leave has over, I bought avent isis uno iq since my hand cramp a lot of time due to squeezing the handle of my manual pump. Thank God I help me a lot and my milk suppy increase too..

Frankly, if you want my advice which pump to use, I would suggest avent. I once borrowed from my friend her medela electric pump and I found that the suckling was hard and painful.

Breastmilk Part 2

First 2 days I managed to pump 4 oz every 4 hours...smpi paed cakap..."bole buat kilang susu"..bile blk...since mmg direct breastfeed...so lagi la byk susu..even sometime bole pump up to 20 oz skali pump...gile rase cam my b**bs besar gile...sooo average per day bole dapat is 50oz during maternity leave.

Mase dlm pantang my mum slalu masak ayam kampung dara because ade byk khasiat..i think nih pon kire faktor kot byk susu...beside that, slalu buat milo panas and minum susu anlene..(heard org ckp mse dlm pantang x elok minum air byk...but i dont think so..mane susu nak kuar kalu x minum air kan....)

First day keje kene breast engorged..smpi nanges ok..gile sakit...pastu gih Hospital Pantai and the doc bagi pil to stop milk production....gile rase menyesal ok...tp nak buat camne...time tuh sakit...telan jer la...

After 3 days of taking the pills...my milk production decrease to 40 oz per day..still ok la lagi...freezer di umah sudah penuh dgn susu same as freezer di umah kakak ipar...as a result terpaksa beli peti ais aiskrim...

but then 2 months after purchase date dah penuh...by that time pulak my niece have problem dgn formula milk....to solve both problem I gave my niece my breast milk for 1 and half month.

Total my boy can consume a day was up to 30oz..so both the babies drank up to 60 oz per day..One month after that I became pregnant again. Hence, resulted in significant reduction on my milk supply..then terus stop...huhu...however, with my storage, my boy has enough breast milk for the next 2 months.

Breastmilk Part 1

Setiap ibu mesti nak breastfeed anak selama yg bole...so am i...I managed to breastfeed my son up to 7 months only...the reason being...i'm pregnant again!!!!...sungguh la sedih sbb xle nak breastfeed...and by the way, doctor pernah mentioned that kalu full breastfeed susah nak pregnant..so ini adalah kesilapan doctor....tapi x baik kan...dah rezeki...terima lah...

The motive I want to start this post sbb my friends always ask for my advice on how to increase supply la...how to store la..and so on...so untuk tidak membuang air liur lagi sbb rase cam byk kali sgt dah mention...so here I am..senang nnti suruh jer diaorg bace sbb takut nnti kalu dah lame2 salah ajaran lak..while I can still remember what I did kan...

So here is the history...

I gave birth to my son on 21 August 2009..One day before Ramadhan...hehe..next day check out sbb deliver normal...2 days after that, time nak check up..anak kene tahan sbb jaundice....mak mane x sedih tgk anak masuk hospital....so mak pon masuk la skali sbb nak breastfeed...(sanggup okey!!!!harap lepas nih aqeel baca blog mama) sbb sedih sgt I pon bertungkus lumus la pump susu...bile kuar skit...sedih sgt2....so my mom bagi petua:-

1) tuam b**bies dgn air panas

2) sikat b**bies dgn cara dari atas ke hujung

so i repeated the techniques a few times and stop for a while to pump...lepas pump buat blk....betapa gigih nyer nak dapatkan susu....I pump every 4 hours...so bayangkan dlm keadaan baru lepas bersalin...kene gih nursery baby..ulang alik nak anta susu...kaki bengkak bagai rase camader air lak...

Sorry yer....u have to read through the story because I dont know whether whatever yg i buat tuh bole buatkan byk susu or not...

By the way..ade ke sape2 bace nih...muahahahah....

My First Entry

Yesterday my husband bought a laptop for me after we had a fight...bole la gaduh tiap2 ari camni..so that i can get a lot of stuffs that i wanted all this while.

We bought a Lenovo G430 at Mid Valley. The best thing is eventhough the PC Fair had over, we manage to get the PC Fair price. It cost us RM1,799. Lepas beli terus menggoogle harga and betul price is cheaper than the usual retail price. Rezeki nampaknya...hehehe...
