Last Day of 2011

How do u spend your last day of 2011...For me as usual I need to be in the office to do system year end close..Ape kene ko keje buat system???.....yup right..I'm in Finance department tapi kene buat ini kerja..Just to make sure that all figure are posted correctly in retained earnings. So kalau system jam, I will be stuck in the office...

Anyhow, husband is registering Aqeel to Smart Reader Kids today. Please pray that he has no problem or create one later..After I'm done with my work, will drop by to Toys R Us to buy some toy for my niece whim admitted in Prince Court due to minor pneumonia...Hope she is doing fine and recovering soon..

Maybe after that, husband wants to go to Pavilion to alter his suit at Ermenegildo Zegna. There goes my plan for the last day of 2011..It sound pretty boring but at least I got to spend my day with my little family..What about you??...

Nescafe Dolce Gusto

Good looking coffee maker..I really-really want one..but thinking that both me and my husband is not a coffee lover, it is kind of dumping our money in rubbish..It only have 4 flavors which are Cappuccino, Mocha, Latte Macchiato and Espresso..The only that i can take is only Latte Macchiato since the others have too strong coffee and I am not gonna drink like 5 cups per day and even 1 cup per day pon I have to think.

But when I look through website for other countries, I can find Peach Tea, Chococino and many other flavour..macam sangat best if this flavour available in Malaysia and i will definitely by this machine. Especially if the design is this one..

Expenses oh expenses!!

Every month I will be having the same problem..EXPENSES!!..having 2 kids will definitely mean extra cash outflow. mane taknye dengan diapers which approximately cost RM140/month, susu RM100/week, sabun mandi, lotion, syampoo, sabun botol wipes and the list go on...for approximately RM200/month..itu baru barang keperluan for the kids tak masuk insurans..

Besides that, I am sending Aqeel to playschool next year so that he can mix around with boys his age..the monthly fee is RM270/month and the registration fee is RM1,000. On top of that, sending him to Kizsports at Bangsar Village and the fee is RM180/month. Ini baru anak-anak punye expenses tak masuk lagi mak bapak..dengan rumah, bil rumah, kerete 2 biji, insurans, gaji bibik dan lain-lain..Haishhh...nih la dia zaman milenium..semua pakai duit...bukan sikit lak tuh...

I wonder what my kids time would be like..mesti double triple kan?..gaji puluhan ribu pon still cannit afford to have saving sebab expenses pon puluhan ribu..time nih la nak wish why lar my husband is not a billionaire...or maybe I have to work out my brain to create something new..mula la tuh nak merepek...duniawi sungguh!!

How do you deal with a disrespectful child?

Something to share with parent out there..

1. Constant Follow Through

Punishment is WORK, a LOT of work. If you put them in time out (when they are little) and they get up, you MUST put them back, put them back, put them back, again and again. It is usually a battle of wills and if you allow them to take the upper hand, you've lost the battle and the war. If you take something away, you Must stick to it, Idle threats are a parents biggest mistake. If you say something will happen to them or they will lose something if their behavior does not changes you HAVE TO Stick to that threat. Follow Through is KEY, even with teenagers. STOP talking to kids when she is rude, don't speak a word to her, except in response to general hello, etc, very short and curt. don't do laundry and do not discuss daily day to day things. Then CALMLY explain to her that you will NOT tolerate her disrespecting you, you will NOT tolerate being spoken to like her friends, you will NOT allow rude thoughtless behavior and if she wants you to respect ANYTHING About her life/lifestyle, things, clothes, food, than she better respect you. Respect is Earned, just like trust and if she wants you to be respectful and speak to her with love and interest, you Demand that from her.

2. Take Away Privileges

Take all privileges away. Period. My sons want to be jerks, then I am a bitch. At 14 and 17, they KNOW that if they are disrespectful, they will be treated with just as much disrespect as they treat me with. If that means that I am mean, then I am mean. When they were little, a respectful attitude was instilled in them, and they never had a problem. A pop on the butt, or simply counting to 5 usually ended any disrespectful behavior. As they get older, and pushier, I deal on their level. I will say this, though. Even in my oldest's son's most disrespectful outburst, he will deal with any other person than a family member with the utmost respect. So my battle is 1/2 over..."

3. Put Their Toys on Timeout

"When my kid is disrespectful I give him a warning then put his favorite toy on time out until he can apologize and 'turn things around.' He can have his toy back when he is respectful for a predetermined amount of time - like until dinner is over. He earns his toy back through respect. We started putting his toys on time-out because he doesn't take time out seriously if he's already being disrespectful. It is too easy for him to get up and make a 'game of it.' He always takes his favorite toy being on time out seriously. That way we hold the power - which is important for us when trying to turn his behavior around."     - Lisa Erickson

4. Use Different Methods For Different Ages

"Everyone has their own way of dealing with children that are disrespectful...It also depends on the age of the child...The older child take away their privileges like cell phones and computers, going out with friends, etc...The younger child take away what they like the most...You need to get a firm hand on the situtation...Let them know that you are the parent and deserve their respect, but remember too they deserve yours..."

5. Stay Calm

"My 11 year old son was rather disrespectful the other day to my husband so we sat him down as a team (more impact) and told him in a calm voice that his behavior wouldn't be tolerated and that being rude has social consequences. We asked questions like "how do you think that made dad feel when you said that" and "what do you think a teacher would if you talked that way to them.. or a police officer?" You could see he was thinking... but I will tell you what- I have gotten mad and yelled in the past and it always caused more conflict and fit throwing and whining, yelling.. but staying calm sort of gave him the impression that we were in control, and that he couldn't intimidate us with his disrespectful comments. It was great. Staying cool is definately the answer, but be firm too. He has been grounded from TV, video games and computer (because he would supplement one for loss of another) for 3 days, and I think he learned a lesson.... I HOPE! Good luck :)"

P/S: How do I start doing time out for my kids when they have cousins around everyday. I think I will ended up in time out myself..

Johor Premium Outlet Review

Yes!!..I've been there..TWICE!!..the first one was on Friday and the shopping ended up 5 hours later and the second one was on Sunday for nearly 2 hours.

I would said that the discount vary from shop to shop..some are seriously should go for and some are like so-so...Shops that I think is good to go for are:-

Coach
Zegna
Burberry
Gap
Levi
Guess
Fossil
CK
La Senza

This is all I can think of right now. For Coach, the max discounted item is 50% and it can reach to only RM500.

For Zegna, husband bought a pair of suit with 50% discount. I must say it worth every penny of it.

Burberry not so sure how is the pricing like but people are queuing to get into the store. So maybe the discount is worth it.

Gap is sooo cheap..I just shopped for my babies and the price is about RM30 per romper and jeans for RM50..So many choices for babies but for toddler it seems that people has grabbed it really fast.

Levi seems quite cheap too.. If you are not aware of, Levi has an outlet store in Carrefour Wangsa Maju. However, the selection is very limited. But in JPO, there are so many choices. The price is range at RM120-RM200

Guess having up to 60% discount. The handbags range at RM250.. The babies clothes is average out at RM60 and the design is relly cute.

For Fossil, I didnt go since it is full with people.
CK is quite cheap too, before buying a suit in Zegna, husband already eyeing for one suit in CK. The discount is up to 75% which left the price to be only RM800. However, the biggest size is 52 while my husband wearing size 54...pity him..(not so pity since he get to buy Zegna).

For La Senza, every has already grabbed everything so nothing left for undies except for G-String.

So here are the pictures of shops that I get to snap.

It is only 10.30 am and the parking lot is half full.

Whoever bringing kids, please bring stroller and small fan that can attach to the stroller. It is pretty hot and the kids will get cranky easily.
We went to the information counter first to claim our so-called VIP Coupon Book. It does look as what I imagine as it is just a leaflet..we didnt use any of it. Maybe later since the expiry is 31 December 2012.

Fountain for kids to play. Please bring extra cloth..

Playground for kids while the parent shopping

"I wonder what my parent bought for me"hehehe..

Lunch break at the food court. The price of this Nasi Lemak is RM10.

People start queuing at 1pm. This is Friday view. But on Sunday the queue start as early as 11.00 am

Cranky little Aisha due to hot whether and sleepy..

Fall asleep after 5 hours of of shopping

Stop at Starbuck before heading home
The queue to pay for parking..Only one machine available..

Overall, the place is ok if you have planned of the things that you wanna shop. On Friday, there are too many flies..It is like everywhere and not even in the food court. But on Sunday, since there are too many people, the flies are gone. If you wanna visit the place please plan your timing for example do visit on weekdays instead of weekend and come as early as 10am to avoid massive jam on the road and inside the shop itself. Since the place has opened for 3 weeks already, i assume that the stocks available are leftovers, hence, not many choices compared to if you have visited during the launching week.

10,000 steps to a healthier you!

Our fast-paced and hectic lifestyle requires us to not just be active everyday but also to watch what we consume daily especially the consumption of salt and sugar.

Do you know that just by walking 10,000 steps each day, you burn more than 300 calories? By choosing the stairs instead of an elevator or walking to a park further from your destination and making the time to go for a walk, it can help strengthen your muscles and bones.

Here are some tips:
- Find shoes that can double as dress/work shoes and walking shoes so you can always be ready to walk.
- Don’t email your co-worker down the hall, walk to them instead. Save the email and phone calls to talk to them for a closer contact

Think about it the next time you say hello to your colleagues and loved ones. Those few steps everyday can make you a fitter and healthier person! Also don't forget to reduce the carbs and only consume what your body needs to maintain a healthy living. Happy holidays!

Sony Camera

Yeay!!!..feels like jumping up and down with my big belly...at last..after much research and unset mind which to choose, we have decided and bought Sony NEX 5N. At first was thought of having NEX 7, imagine the camera with 24 megapixel..you can see every dotted of your face...but the camera has yet to launch and the price is range at RM4k. For unprofessional photographer like me, i think it is kinds waster of money. The main reason i am buying the camera is to capture my kids running here and there. That's all. Nothing much. So why spent so much right?

So here is the picture of the camera. We took the IPP plan. so monthly is only a few hundreds. So that is really cheap.

My old camera has been transferred to Aqeel the photographer. He is so busy taking pictures with my old camera. He even asked me to pose.."Mama cepatlah!!..I shall upload him in action.

Kizsports

Last Saturday we went to Kizsports, Bangsar. The place offer a lot of programmes and also a playland for the kids to play. You can even drop your kids there while doing your shopping. The entree fee for the playland is RM38 per entry for kids 2 years old above. For below 2 years old, the fee is only RM12.

Both double A really enjoyed the playland and we even let Aqeel to play by himself. We have to let him learn to be independent (takleh nak jadi anak abah jer). Besides that, we don't want both of them to watch to much tv programmes as it is just a one way of interaction. They already had enough during weekdays.

The programmes that they offer are divided into 3 categories:-

1) Early Fitness Academy (EFA)-with unlimited play at Playland
- Little Crawlers (6 months-walking)
- Little Walkers (walking-2 years)
- Little Rompers (2-3 years)
- Fun n Movement I (3-4 years)
- Fun n Movement (4-5 years)

The monthly fee is RM180/month and the class in one a week.

2) Early Learning Academy (ELA)-with unlimited play at Playland
- ELA Romp (2 years old and above)
- ELA Pre S (3 years and above)
- ELA Pre K (4 years and above)

The fees is RM2600-3200/term (15 weeks). Class 3-5 times a week (depending on the programmes)

3) Enrichment Programmes
- Karatedo
-Takewando
-Reading English
-Baby Ballet

The fee is RM100 per month. Class one a week.

This is just a summary. There are other programmes that is not written here. For more info you can go to Kizsports

Here are the pictures of them playing at Playland.

P/S: Both parent and kids please bring your own socks.
