My Delivery Story

Hello..

It has been a pretty hectic week. By the way, just to cut it short, I just want to tell you the journey of my 3rd delivery.

I reached the hospital at 9.00am and directly go to the admission counter. It took me around 15 minutes to get everything settled. Since husband is having urgent meeting in the morning, my dad accompanied me to the hospital. 

Go to the labor room and get everything checked by 10.00am. However, the Doctor had some urgent thing at her clinic and only reached the labor room at 11.30am. I was 3 cm dilated and she induces me. Husband reaches hospital around 12.00pm

It took me around hours to be 10cm dilated. Since he baby head is quite big, at 6-7cm I have already feel like pushing. However, the nurse has warned me not to do so since the head is still far ahead. So she insists me of taking the laughing gas to avoid pushing to early.

The pain is so terrible that i can still fill it till now. I think this is the worst delivery experience so far maybe because the baby is big.

Taking the laughing gas is not the best option because you would feel very sleepy. I found myself asleep quite a couple of times. So to avoid falling asleep while pushing, I asked my husband to wash my face with water so that by the time the doctor let me push, I am alert and fresh.

For your information, I only take light breakfast at 8.00am and until delivered I did not have taken anything. So right after delivered I have already got the feeling of nausea.

I was quite surprise the baby weighted 4.25 kg which is out of my expectation. 3 days before, during scanning, the doctor expected the baby to be 3.6kg only. Now he is 4.25kg and no wonder it hurt so much!

The baby seems to be behaving well. It just that, maybe he did not get enough milk since he is quite big he demand a lot if milk as well and for the first 2-3 days I cannot produce enough milk for him. He looks quite yellowish in the eyes. Hopefully, it will get better very soon because tomorrow we will be having appointment with his Pediatrician and I don’t want him to be admitted for jaundice.

Induce

Dear Readers,

Tomorrow I will be induce. Hope that everything go smoothly.

The last time I was induce is for Aqeel delivery. It took me 6 hours before he make his appearance. Hopefully, this time it will take less than that.

I am not so sure how my parent and the maids gonna take care of the kids since they are kind of very clingy to me lately. Especially Aqeel, he can scream as loud as he can and cried.

The next baby's name gonna start with the letter A as well same like his brother and sister. So after this its gonna be the Triple A.

It is pretty nervous thinking that I'm gonna deliver a baby tomorrow. I'm gonna leave home around 8.30 in the morning. Husband need to attend a meeting before he can accompanied me in the labor room. Hopefully he can make it.

After all, lets pray that my hemorrhoid getting better right after delivery and I do not need to go through another surgery to remove it.

False Alarm

It feels stupid, embarrassing that after 2 kids, I still had false alarm. This is false alarm for labour pain. Means that I feel the pain but somehow that baby still does not want to come out yet or it is not dilated enough yet.

Before Aisha delivered, I was having a severe pain. But somehow, I still manage to sleep since it was early morning and I dont really bother the pain. So when I wake up I informed my parent and they insist that I go for check up. Less that I know, it was already 5 cm dilated. 

The nurse advice me that for the next baby, I should have not waited until the pain become severe. Once I feel the pain I should have come immediately for check up or I might ended up delivering in the house or in the car.

So that explain this morning story. I already felt slight pain around 3 am. But somehow I waited until it is already Subuh. I took shower and prayed. Later I went down to see my mom and inform her. She somehow still remember the nurse advice and asked me to quickly go for check up. At this point I still feel the contraction.

When I reached Hospital they did check up for the baby heart and the contraction. Somehow, the contraction stopped. Seriously, that is depressing. The dilation is only 1 cm and I was sent home.

Maybe after this I should just wait until the pain is unbearable. At least that time it is confirm to be labor pain.

Update at 35 weeks

Hi All,

It is a valentine's day!  However, i dont celebrate it since it is against Islam culture.

I am now at my 35 weeks and the baby since does not want to make his appearance. The pain is like everywhere.

To make things worse, Aisha is having flu and cough. Hence, she could not really sleep peacefully. I have to wake up every hour to comfort her. Luckily I am still on mc. How I wish I am working now so that I am not bored to dead and at least i get to walk outside.

For Aqeel, he is soo clingy and whining. There are times when I just could not handle him anymore and just let him crying. My mom said that maybe he can sense that his brother is coming out soon. Hope that everything will turn normal after my delivery. I just do not know how to handle the kids during the confinement if they are still acting the same way.

Regarding my hemorrhoid, the surgeon told me that I will not go back to normal until I deliver. The worst thing is if I walk or stand or sit for a long time, the hemorrhoid will come out further more. Hence, he will give me mc until I deliver to avoid the worst.

As per my gynae, the earlier she can induce me is at my 37 weeks. That would be another 1 week from now. How I wish the baby will come out any day this week instead of next week. Hopefully after delivery I dont have to do any surgery on the hemorrhoid. If not I would have to face double pain!

There are a lot to says, but since the kids are whining, i am not able to write further.

Double Trouble

I feel like slapping hard at my face. Aqeel and Aisha the Double Trouble kids who had make my stay at home worst.

Now they know my existence at home even though I hide in the room. Seriously, from getting better hemorrhoid, now it is becoming worse.

Their naughtiness is above my limit and capabilities. I even thought of going to back my home at Bukit Jalil. 

Aisha, a girl who is supposed to behave is acting worst than her brother. 

To make thing worst, they are not even scared of me even though I yell or pinched them. *Sigh*..

There are scenes such as Aisha put her feet on Aqeel's stomach while he is drinking his milk, Aisha pulling her cousin's pant off, Aisha jumping from one chair to another and other dangerous actions.

Taking care of them while me myself at 35 weeks, the baby is 3.5kg and the hemorrhoid i need to take care of, i definitely need extra patience. Now after prayer, i doa' that i will deliver very soon because at least it is easy for me to move around.

Baby is already 2kgs

I am at 31 weeks and baby is already 2 kgs. Last time, at this point of time, Aqeel is 1.7kg. Upon delivery Aqeel is 3.7kg. So if the calculation is the same, adik will be 4kgs upon delivery?...that is sooooo scary....

So kesimpulannya...sila la puasa..

Sungguh mengantok hari nih...lagi 4 jam mahu balik...

Got this info from Utusan article today. During my confinement period last time i did the bertungku part.. But just with the batu...not other materials...

So for this coming confinement period, gonna try this method..

"Batu ini dibakar sehingga merah dan dimasukkan ke dalam kain yang berlapikkan daun mengkudu, bunga kantan, halia dan halba. Ia bertujuan mengeluarkan darah beku, mengecutkan peranakan, menghilangkan kebas-kebas kaki serta buasir."

Things to buy for new mommies

If found that these are the items which u need most:-

1) Sterilizer

2) Warmer

3) Milk storage

- This meant for working moms. If you have a lot of milk..U wouldnt want to waste all your money buying bottle. Beside this packaging is space friendly compared to bottles.

4) Nursing bra

- Since I have big b**bies it was very hard for me to find nursing bra. Due to some surfing, I manage to get cheap nursing bra with desired size. Here is the link http://mamamodern.com. It only cost me RM54.90 for a pack of 2.
