Confinement Part 3

Sudan lama blog ini diabaikan. Semua gara-gara laptop sudah kaput..on tapi yang keluar kat skrin blank mesti perbuatan Aqeel dan Aisha. Kesudahannya keen tulis guna iPad which is memang tak best langsung. Sekarang berat sudah menurun me 76 kg. Lagi 6 kg nak turun kepada target tapi memandangkan confinement period Lagi 6 hari nak abis so mari kite extend target period. Hope by habits maternity leave berat boleh mencapai 70 kg.

Confinement Part 2

Hello all...I just checked my weight and I have lost 14 kilos. Now I am weighted 80 kilos. Another 10 kilos to work out by end of confinement period. Hope I will able to achieve that number.

Now, I only take rice during lunch time. It is difficult to cut my food intake since when I am breastfeeding I tend to feel hungrier. Hence, for dinner, instead of taking rice, I only take oat and milo. I think I should change from taking Milo to Anlene. Its good for my bone and it does have extra vitamins.

 

Last Friday, I went out to Bank Rakyat. I received a letter stating that I can buy additional 1,000 shares. So, of course I buy it. It is a good investment. I also make a stop at Jusco Taman Maluri to purchase my lost corsets.

That's all for now. Baby is already crying for milk...

Breastmilk

Alhamdulillah..here comes the third times of breastfeeding..it is definitely exhausting since baby breastfeed tense to feed more compared to formula milk feeding. In addition to that, I still need to pump to make sure the stock is enough when I'm working later.

I have teach him to use bottle feeding as well. At first he refuse to suck the bottle nipple, but my mom insist or else no milk for him. This is preparation before I start working. Why we start it earlier? The earlier the better so that he will not get used to breast nipple.

Now I get to pump 40 ounces of breast milk everyday with total pumping of 3 times. what I did to get this much of milk?..Well I have to go through pain and hard work. I poultice my  breast with hot water then I comb it from up to bottom. It is painful process but it works.After that of course the massage lady did her works there too..Besides that, I frequently pump even the nipple hurt and bleed.

On the food, my mom cook for me virgin chicken (ayam dara). It is good to increase blood as we lost it during delivering process. It also good in increasing milk production. I also drink a lot of Milo and Oats. Alhamdulillah from time to time I can feel the tank is refill. : )

Confinement

It s been pretty busy during my confinement period. The baby is behaving well, it just the elders who demand more attention now.

I have not update the blog with my diet program as promised earlier. But I have been very selective on the food intake. I only take 2 meals a day and for other times, I only take oats and milo.

My milk production has increased as well but not as much as what I get during Aisha's time. Maybe because this big baby suck most of it.

I don't have weighting scale, but I am pretty sure I have lost many kilos. Will ask husband to buy one.

Currently, me and husband are actively searching for landed house. Since we have new addition, the family is getting bigger, hence require more space to move around.

In addition to that, I would like to state my disappointment towards the previous maid. She ran away when all of us were very busy since Aqeel was admitted due to Kawasaki Disease. Lately, I found out that she took 2 corsets of mine. I just notice it since I thought of using it for my confinement.

My Delivery Story

Hello..

It has been a pretty hectic week. By the way, just to cut it short, I just want to tell you the journey of my 3rd delivery.

I reached the hospital at 9.00am and directly go to the admission counter. It took me around 15 minutes to get everything settled. Since husband is having urgent meeting in the morning, my dad accompanied me to the hospital. 

Go to the labor room and get everything checked by 10.00am. However, the Doctor had some urgent thing at her clinic and only reached the labor room at 11.30am. I was 3 cm dilated and she induces me. Husband reaches hospital around 12.00pm

It took me around hours to be 10cm dilated. Since he baby head is quite big, at 6-7cm I have already feel like pushing. However, the nurse has warned me not to do so since the head is still far ahead. So she insists me of taking the laughing gas to avoid pushing to early.

The pain is so terrible that i can still fill it till now. I think this is the worst delivery experience so far maybe because the baby is big.

Taking the laughing gas is not the best option because you would feel very sleepy. I found myself asleep quite a couple of times. So to avoid falling asleep while pushing, I asked my husband to wash my face with water so that by the time the doctor let me push, I am alert and fresh.

For your information, I only take light breakfast at 8.00am and until delivered I did not have taken anything. So right after delivered I have already got the feeling of nausea.

I was quite surprise the baby weighted 4.25 kg which is out of my expectation. 3 days before, during scanning, the doctor expected the baby to be 3.6kg only. Now he is 4.25kg and no wonder it hurt so much!

The baby seems to be behaving well. It just that, maybe he did not get enough milk since he is quite big he demand a lot if milk as well and for the first 2-3 days I cannot produce enough milk for him. He looks quite yellowish in the eyes. Hopefully, it will get better very soon because tomorrow we will be having appointment with his Pediatrician and I don’t want him to be admitted for jaundice.

Confinement

After much discussion with my gynae, we agreed to induce on 22 February 2012. Such a great number to remember.

Now I am weighted 94kg. Yup, I know that I am super big and that is why I have determined to do whatever it takes to reduce to at least 70kg at the end of the confinement period.

I am not so sure what is the standard confinement period for other mommies, but for me, my mom has set it to be 44 days. 

So my challenge will start this Thursday insyallah.

Please pray for my smooth delivery. 

I have also asked the husband to join for the challenge. Recently, he had experience GAUT and I think one of the reason is because of his weight.

For confinement, I am using AMWAY product. Thought of using TANAMERA, but my mom has already ordered it from her friend. Maybe I can try the spa treatment because I heard it is quite good.

One month update

Yo!!! Im back!!!!..It has been a month since my last post..It has been a busy month for me since I have to take of my daughter and at the same time my hyper active son. I have given birth to a beautiful and fair baby girl on the 2nd day of Raya. the baby weighted 3.4 kg..I can say that it is quite easy compared to the time when I delivered Aqeel. I did not take any gas or ubat bius because based on my past experience, it will only delay the delivery process. I was very high and sleepy due to gas consumption hence, it is very hard for me to PUSH the baby out. The baby was named after my husband grandma, who had been taking care of him when he was a baby. Nur Aisha Binti Md Kamil, her name now.

So back to the baby, she has been crying or whine the whole nights and today marks 32 days I had a sleepless nights. It has caused me headache and terrible stress since during days I have to take care both Aqeel and Aisha and just a couple hours of rest. (Sudah dianta ke tok moh si Aisha nih tapi nangis tetap tidak berenti...someone say that after I finish my confinement period she would be fine..). However, to ensure that she is healthy, I went to see my doctor and this is what she said (Biasa la tuh..baby akan ok after 3 months..anak saya lagi teruk x tido2..) mak aih..3 months how do I survive..Aqeel was not like this..he was a good baby..

Update on Aqeel, after one week I delivered, Aqeel  got chicken pox..that making life more miserable. So he has been crying and whining for the whole 4 days due to itchiness...poor boy...seriously, confinement period this time has been the worst and it even occur to me not to have another baby....Ok now back to Aqeel, he can walk by himself now and he had been climbing here and there...even my father tired or taking care of him..he is non-stoppable..I am thinking of tieing his foot so that he will not get anything break and hurt himself (ini baru 1 tahun...kalu 2 tahun macam mana agaknya yer..)..In the other hand, the husband love taking him to the playground since he is so playful..

Last but not least, I had received several calls from friends but I have trouble answering it since Aisha is with me most of the time. Sorry friends...Will keep in touch after has sort out everything nicely..
