Secret of Lemon That You May Never Know

 Thin lemon slice

Did you know the Ancient Egyptians believed that eating lemons and drinking lemon juice was an effective protection against a variety of poisons, and that recent research has confirmed this belief?

There are many health benefits of lemons that have been known for centuries. The two biggest are lemons’ strong antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers and their use as a weight loss aid because lemon juice is a digestive aid and liver cleanser. Lemons contain many substances--notably citric acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, bioflavonoids, pectin, and limonene--that promote immunity and fight infection.
These are well-known health facts about lemons. But there’s so much more to this little yellow fruit. Here are 15 that I’ll bet you didn’t know. Whether you use them in the form of juice, teas, drinks, dressing, poultices or in the bath, take advantage of lemons’ natural healing power.

Lemon contains citric acid, which can be effective in treating acne. The vitamin C found in citrus fruits is vital for that healthy glowing skin while its alkaline nature kills some types of bacteria known to cause acne. In addition to drinking lemon juice with water first thing in the morning, here are some suggestions on how to prepare a homemade acne treatment using lemon:
· With your finger or a cotton ball, apply fresh lemon juice on acne and leave it overnight. Wash with water the following morning. There may be an uncomfortable sensation of burning at first, but it will soon disappear.
· Mix one part of freshly squeezed lemon juice with an equal part of rose or honey water. Put the mixture on affected areas for at least half an hour. Wash it afterwards with water. This application should be repeated twice daily, ideally in the morning and the evening.
Note: these remedies are safe and natural, but if acne is severe or there are open wounds, consult your doctor first.

Research has shown that lemon balm has a calming effect and therefore may be able to help remove fatigue, exhaustion, dizziness, anxiety, nervousness, and tension. It is also believed that inhaling lemon oil helps in increasing concentration and alertness. It can therefore be used as a room freshener in offices to increase the efficiency of the employees. If you’re feeling tense sprinkle a few drops of lemon balm essential oil on a handkerchief to inhale.

The proven antibacterial and antiviral properties of lemons can accelerate the healing process in the case of cankers. Mix the juice of freshly squeezed lemon into a glass of lukewarm water and rinse your mouth with this solution; do this three times a day. There may be a burning sensation when the lemon juice comes into contact with the canker, however, the more frequently you use it, the less burning there will be.

Chills and fevers may be due to a variety of causes, but the lemon is always a helpful remedy. Here is a method that can ease symptoms: add the juice of 1 lemon to a cup of hot water with honey and drink at once, then every 2 hours until the fever or chill subsides.

When you have a cold, the healing power of lemons works both internally, by supplying urgently required vitamin C to your defense cells, and externally, through the application of its antiviral properties to the virus on the mucous membranes in the nose and throat.
At the first indication of a cold – a runny nose or sore throat –try to give your body as much immune-boosting vitamin C as you can so that the virus is eliminated before it gets a chance to take hold. Drink the freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon in a glass of lukewarm water every 2 hours.

If you have a sore throat, add the juice of 1 lemon and 1 teaspoon (5ml) of sea salt to 1 cup (250ml) lukewarm water. Gargle three times a day for 1 minute to diminish the burning sensation. If it’s a case of tonsillitis, gargle every 2 hours for at least 30 seconds with the freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon. Tilt the head back to allow the antibacterial and antiviral properties of the juice to flow into the back of the throat. You can swallow the juice when you have finished gargling thereby benefiting from an immune-boosting vitamin C shot.

Lemon poultices applied overnight are a good home remedy for corns and calluses. Place a slice of lemon approx 5 mm thick on to the corn, bandage and fasten. Dabbing the affected area with lemon essential oil also helps accelerate the healing process. Take care to only use the undiluted oil on the callused area using a cotton ball or Q- tip, as it is too strong for un-callused skin.

If you suffer from skin infection such as eczema, a lemon wrap may offer relief. Add 8 drops of lemon essential oil to 1 cup (250ml) lukewarm water and 1 tablespoon (15ml) of liquid honey. Honey also has anti-inflammatory effect and strengthens the healing power of lemon. Soak a linen cloth in the liquid, squeeze out the excess, and gently place the cloth on the affected area for 15 minutes, 2 to 3 times a day. Not only will this ease the infection, it will counter the overwhelming urge to scratch.

Long distance walkers, world travelers, and explorers look upon the lemon as a Godsend. When fatigue sets in, they might suck lemon juice by piercing the top of the fruit with a straw, giving themselves a quick-acting medicine and a lovely refreshment. Explorers also use lemon for protection against many infections of the tropics. A small amount of lemon juice will quench thirst more effectively than many times the amount of water.

Experienced travelers declare that when they add lemon juice to ordinary drinking water, in various localities, it acts as an antiseptic and prevents illness due to allergy to different water supplies.

Lemon oil also seems to be able to stimulate brain activity so whenever you feel tired for no reason or are finding it hard to focus or concentrate, add 4 drops of lemon oil to a water-filled aromatherapy lamp. Alternatively, drink a glass of lemon water every few hours.

Lemons can help freshen breath that has gone sour after consuming certain spices, alcohol, cigarettes, or that is caused by insufficient salivation. To keep breath fresh, thoroughly rinse your mouth several times a day with the freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon in a glass of lukewarm water. Chewing on a lemon slice after every meal will also help.

Garlic and onions have been shown to be effective in the fight against hypertension, and they combine well with the healing power of lemon. Add 3 crushed garlic cloves and 1 chopped onion to 1 quart or cold skimmed or low fat milk or soy milk. Slowly bring to the boil and let it stand for 5 minutes. Pour through a sieve and chill. Add the freshly squeezed juice of 3 lemons and sip throughout the day.

And if you suffer from high cholesterol, don’t forget that the pectin power in lemons along with its other metabolism and circulation boosting nutrients can help lower cholesterol
If the stinger is still in the skin, take it out with a pair of tweezers. Massage 1 to 2 drops of lemon oil, mixed with 1 teaspoon of honey, into the skin around the bite.

To repel insects, add 20 drops of lemon oil to 1 cup (250ml) of water and spray into the air. It smells great and repels insects at the same time. Another home remedy is to place a cotton ball soaked in lemon oil in your bedroom. If you are sitting outside in the evening, apply lemon scent to skin areas not covered in clothing. Or, add 10 drops of lemon oil to 1 ½ oz of sunflower oil and rub into the skin.

Several studies have found that lemon balm combined with other calming herbs (such as valerian, hops, and chamomile) helps reduce anxiety and promote sleep. In a recent double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 18 healthy volunteers received two separate single doses of a standardized lemon balm extract (300 mg and 600 mg) or placebo for 7 days. The 600 mg dose of lemon balm increased mood and significantly increased calmness and alertness.

Even though it tastes bitter, lemon juice has a powerful alkaline effect in the body and is therefore a natural agent against excess acid, which is in part responsible for rheumatism. Drink the freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon in a glass of lukewarm water 3 times a day and if you experience severe pain add the juice of 2 lemons 3 times a day.

Lemon oil has pain-relieving qualities, so to inhibit inflammation and ease pain, massage the affected area daily with several drops of lemon oil mixed with 1 tablespoon (15ml) jojoba oil.

Drink the juice of 1 freshly squeezed lemon in a glass of lukewarm water after each meal. The lemon acid will stimulate the production of stomach acid and the activity of stomach muscles.

Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man

This song remind me to always appreciate person around you. Dont wait until it is too late to realise.

"When I Was Your Man"
Same bed but it feels just a little bit bigger now
Our song on the radio but it don't sound the same
When our friends talk about you, all it does is just tear me down
Cause my heart breaks a little when I hear your name

It all just sounds like oooooh…
Mmm, too young, too dumb to realize
That I should have bought you flowers
And held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours
When I had the chance
Take you to every party
Cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby's dancing
But she's dancing with another man

My pride, my ego, my needs, and my selfish ways
Caused a good strong woman like you to walk out my life
Now I never, never get to clean up the mess I made, ohh…
And it haunts me every time I close my eyes

It all just sounds like oooooh…
Mmm, too young, too dumb to realize
That I should have bought you flowers
And held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours
When I had the chance
Take you to every party
Cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby's dancing
But she's dancing with another man

Although it hurts
I'll be the first to say that I was wrong
Oh, I know I'm probably much too late
To try and apologize for my mistakes
But I just want you to know

I hope he buys you flowers
I hope he holds your hand
Give you all his hours
When he has the chance
Take you to every party
Cause I remember how much you loved to dance
Do all the things I should have done
When I was your man
Do all the things I should have done
When I was your man

Forgive story

Something to share...

DO U HATE SOMEONE???

A Nice story with a good moral. Please go through.

A kindergarten teacher decided to let her class play a game.

The teacher told each child in the class to bring along a plastic bag containing a few potatoes.

Each potato will be given a name of a person that the child hates.

So the number of potatoes that a child will put in his/her plastic bag will depend on the number of people he/she hates.

So when the day came, each child brought some potatoes with the name of the people he/she hated. Some had 2 potatoes; some 3 while some up to 5 potatoes. The teacher then told the children to carry with them the potatoes in the plastic bag wherever they go (even to the toilet) for 1 week.

Days after days passed by, and the children started to complain due to the unpleasant smell let out by the rotten potatoes. Besides, those having 5 potatoes also had to carry heavier bags. After 1 week, the children were relieved because the game had finally ended...
The teacher asked: "How did you feel while carrying the potatoes with you for 1 week?". The children let out their frustrations and started complaining of the trouble that they had to go through having to carry the heavy and smelly potatoes wherever they go.

Then the teacher told them the hidden meaning behind the game. The teacher said: "This is exactly the situation when you carry your hatred for somebody inside your heart. The stench of hatred will contaminate your heart and you will carry it with you wherever you go. If you cannot tolerate the smell of rotten potatoes for just 1 week, can you imagine what is it like to have the stench of hatred in your heart for your lifetime???"

Moral of the story:
Throw away any hatred for anyone from your heart so that you will not carry sins for a lifetime.
Forgiving others is the best attitude to take!

Mom and son story

Reading this article almost makes me cry...it is just so sweet to have a good relationship
with your kids until they grown up. Hoping that me and the kids stay close until they are married.

The article was taken from Yahoo:-

When Leo Klink stood up to speak at his mother's funeral, just about all of the 700 in attendance knew about the tragedy that took place at the 17 year-old's last high school soccer game. Leo's mom's dying request made news all over Hawaii, and so did the soccer star's inspired performance that day.

Leo Klink and his mother, Hiroyo. (Courtesy of Klink family)The mourners all wanted to know Leo a little better, and know his late mom a little better, too. Leo could have said anything at that funeral, or nothing at all, and been embraced for it. Yet his choice of words was telling and powerful.
Leo decided to tell a story about a little moth.
Leo Klink wasn't destined to be a great high school soccer player, or even a member of a great high school team. "I didn't think we were that good my freshman year," Klink said. His mom, Hiroyo, started him in the sport when he was seven, and she didn't have the World Cup in mind. She wanted most of all for her only child to go to college, and Leo worked hard in the classroom to make that happen.
"She taught me you can't just sit on your butt," Leo said. "You gotta get out there and work hard. Hard work gets you places."
Leo could see that clearly. His father, Paul, couldn't work at a 9-to-5 job because of a heart condition, so it was Hiroyo who spent long hours in Waikiki as an accountant. She still had time to teach her son, though, coaching him on the game, putting together highlights for the team, telling her son to respect his teammates, and insisting that he smile. Always smile.
"She had a great smile," said Michael Ching, Leo's high school coach. "She didn't speak a lot of English. But when I would see her, she would have that great smile."
Leo became known for that smile – his mom's smile.
Then he became known as a terrific soccer player. Klink won Gatorade's high school soccer player of the year for Hawaii in 2012 and took his team to the state finals where they lost 3-0. The honor went to him as a junior not only for his play, but also his academic performance and "exemplary character." He volunteered to help the March of Dimes and those affected by the Japan earthquake and tsunami in 2011. Hiroyo and Paul had raised a good kid.
This season, as a senior, Leo led Kalani back to the championship game with 24 goals. Standing in the way was Punahou, the well-known prep school attended by Barack Obama, Manti Te'o and Michelle Wie. Mom and Dad were, as always, in the stands.
Punahou scored first, 15 minutes in, and then Leo tied it on what Ching called "a perfect ball."
Early in the second half, the game was stopped because someone fell ill in the stands. The players on the field had no idea who it was, but word soon reached the head coach: It was Leo's mom.
"I didn't really know what to do," Ching said. "I kinda thought it would crush him. Our team is close and the relationship with the mom was close. It would devastate him, and we didn't know the condition."
Ching continued to wonder and worry until he was given a message: "Don't tell Leo. Do not tell Leo."
Hiroyo had suffered a stroke. Her husband, Paul, had the presence of mind to ask her to smile as she dealt with dizziness and weakness to her left side. When someone has stroke-like symptoms, asking him or her to smile gives a good read on what's wrong. Hiroyo couldn't smile, and that's when Paul knew it was bad. Paramedics were called and Hiroyo was sent to the hospital, but not before she insisted that her son not be told she was in trouble.
The game went on as Leo's mom fought for her life. Punahou took the lead again in the 50th minute, and then it was Leo again, taking the ball to the 18-yard mark and blasting in the tying goal. The game went to overtime.

The teams played two scoreless extra sessions, forcing the game to penalty kicks. Shootouts were not Leo's specialty, and Ching worried about what would happen if his star lost the game for the team and then found out his mom was in the hospital. Yet the coach had a feeling about Leo. He slotted him fourth out of five.
Three rounds passed and nobody scored. It was Leo's turn. He punched his shot into the right side of the net. For the first time, Kalani had the lead.
Punahou had one more shot. Kalani's goalie made the save. And that was it. Leo had led his school to its first-ever state soccer title, scoring all three goals. Emotions poured over the team. Many of the boys were crying. And then Leo's club coach, who was there to cheer on the team, heard from the hospital: things were looking bad. There might not be much time. The coach came over to Leo and told him: the ambulance was for your mom.
Leo fell to his knees, dropped his plaque onto the ground, and cried.
"It was one of the worst things in my life," Leo said. "So heartbreaking. Knowing your mom had a stroke and you couldn't do anything about it."
Leo rode to the hospital and squeezed his mom's hand, and telling her over and over again how he loved her. She was already unconscious.
Two days later, Hiroyo passed away. She elected to donate her organs, so five people will live because she lived. One of the last things she heard was her husband telling her Leo's team had won. Her wish to let him play was fulfilled.
She smiled.
"That's what she wanted," Leo says now. "She wanted us to have a state championship title. Giving her that final news, I think that was the best news of her life."

Leo Klink, 16, led Kalani to the state championship with 24 goals this season. (Courtesy of Klink family)It's been two weeks now since Leo lost his mom. He misses everything about her: the advice she gave, the times they spent talking about the game, the way her special salmon dish made the house smell. And of course, her smile.
"I miss her love," he says. "I miss her existence. I miss her food."
A Facebook page has been set up to raise money for Hiroyo's biggest dream for Leo: a college education. Things will be tougher now, since Paul can't work the way Hiroyo did, so there is concern.
"No one can replace my mom," Leo says. "My dad is doing one half; I'm doing the other half."
Leo isn't sure where he wants to go to school next year, but he wants to play soccer. "It's gonna be great when I start again," he says. "She'll be watching over me."
A few days after his mom's passing, Leo went out with some friends who wanted to cheer him up. They went bowling. The group finished around midnight and got into the car. One of Leo's friends noticed a black moth flitting around. He told Leo about an old legend known to many in Hawaii. When a loved one passes, a black moth is sent to watch over those left behind. Leo listened to this and looked at the moth in awe and wonder. It was floating in the car, just over his head.
Leo told the story of the black moth at his mom's funeral. It said everything about her, how she loved him and looked out for him even when she could no longer watch him – especially when she could no longer watch him.
"It flew right above me," Leo says, "and stayed there."

Wishing you all greater year ahead and hopefully it is better than last year. For me it is already a good beginning...praying that it will be much more better through out the year..

Workload

When people see u surfing or free, you don't have work..

When your table is full, you have a lot of work...

People always have this mind set..

But less that you know, the person has done her work effectively....

When your table is full, people tend to say that you have a lot of things to do and other people are throwing their things to you...

Less that you know, the person is actually not doing her work at all. The person is just pretending having to do a lot of work to fool others

So..which one is you?

Family Chat

When you have a crazy siblings, probably you gonna have this kinda chat is very high..

I was driving from office back home and was laughing along the journey..

The conversations are between my first brother, my sister in law, my sister and brother in law.

My husband was pretty occupied with his new job load and of course he did not bother of the crazy conversation going on..

My second brother in the other hand would just ignore his crazy siblings..

The conversation began when my sister bought a thomas and friends toys for the maid's son. She wanted to post it to Indonesia as a birthday present. My maid, of course did not request for it, but it is just our way of showing gratitude for her kindness. After all, we are all mothers and we know how she felt leaving her small baby.

By the way, here is the conversation..

Complaint it is

Seriously buying a house sub-sale house is not easy. You have to deal with lawyers and the bankers and everything must be complete within 4 months or else you will be charge with late payment of 8% of total outstanding.

It is just a total disappointment when things like this happen at the final stage when you are so excited about moving into the new house.

I have been trying to call the bankers several times and even email her but i just could not get her. I even try calling the customer service in case they can propose another person to help me but the line is busy..Seems that the bank do not have enough staff.

So the last resolution is to write a complaint. I just don't know whether my complain will be entertain or not. But at least I did something to show my frustration.
