Confinement Part 3

Sudan lama blog ini diabaikan. Semua gara-gara laptop sudah kaput..on tapi yang keluar kat skrin blank mesti perbuatan Aqeel dan Aisha. Kesudahannya keen tulis guna iPad which is memang tak best langsung. Sekarang berat sudah menurun me 76 kg. Lagi 6 kg nak turun kepada target tapi memandangkan confinement period Lagi 6 hari nak abis so mari kite extend target period. Hope by habits maternity leave berat boleh mencapai 70 kg.

Mak Tiri

I have become mak tiri since last monday. Of course kalau orang cakap mak tiri semua akan pikir jenis yang garang walhal ader jer mak tiri yang baik-baik. So saya jadi mak tiri yang sangat garang kepada anak-anak sedara dan anak sendiri (see takdak favoritism disini).

Jadi mak tiri semenjak cuti sekolah adalah sangat perlu bagi mak yang baru lepas beranak. Dengan tak cukup tidur malam dan siang pulak kanak-kanak riang ria memekak disana-sini dan baby menangis sebab takleh nak tidur of course satu jeritan hinggap ditelinga dan adalah perlu disertakan dengan ugutan. Standard ugutan adalah seperti "bising lagi nanti kene jentik telinga", "bising nanti kunci dalam bilik air" dan sebagai nya.

Tapi peranan mak tiri nih tak menjadi dekat anak sendiri. Walaupon dicubit dan dipukul tetap jadi hero dan heroin dalam rumah. Apa perlu mak tiri buat?

Confinement Part 2

Hello all...I just checked my weight and I have lost 14 kilos. Now I am weighted 80 kilos. Another 10 kilos to work out by end of confinement period. Hope I will able to achieve that number.

Now, I only take rice during lunch time. It is difficult to cut my food intake since when I am breastfeeding I tend to feel hungrier. Hence, for dinner, instead of taking rice, I only take oat and milo. I think I should change from taking Milo to Anlene. Its good for my bone and it does have extra vitamins.

 

Last Friday, I went out to Bank Rakyat. I received a letter stating that I can buy additional 1,000 shares. So, of course I buy it. It is a good investment. I also make a stop at Jusco Taman Maluri to purchase my lost corsets.

That's all for now. Baby is already crying for milk...

School Holidays

Masalah besar when it comes to school holidays and I am stuck at home with them. Fuyoh!!rumah jadi sebingit-bingit nyer the kids running everywhere, screaming sebab kene pukul dengan yang besar, berebut barang and I think even jiran keliling would wish that we did not exist..hahahha...

Keadaan rumah jangan cerita...porak peranda macam kene ribut...everytime ader je tukang membuat sampah..of course the maids hangin and I could not blame them..How I wish the week end fast...

Bile la mau holiday overseas nih...*sambil kire duit*

New House

Husband and I are currently active looking for a landed house. If possible we want it to be nearby Cheras, where my parent house is, so that it will be easier for us to drop off our kids.

However, the price of properties nowadays is too ridiculous. I dont even know whether I can afford it or not. But I must continue searching because condo is not a good place for kids to explore. I am looking for landed house with extra land for the kids to play around. With too many kidnap cases, it is save for my kids to be within the house gate. So I am planning to install mini playground inside the house area. I dont mind if the built up area is small as I am lazy in cleaning up every corner of the house.

Let's hope I will be able to find one soon..

Breastmilk

Alhamdulillah..here comes the third times of breastfeeding..it is definitely exhausting since baby breastfeed tense to feed more compared to formula milk feeding. In addition to that, I still need to pump to make sure the stock is enough when I'm working later.

I have teach him to use bottle feeding as well. At first he refuse to suck the bottle nipple, but my mom insist or else no milk for him. This is preparation before I start working. Why we start it earlier? The earlier the better so that he will not get used to breast nipple.

Now I get to pump 40 ounces of breast milk everyday with total pumping of 3 times. what I did to get this much of milk?..Well I have to go through pain and hard work. I poultice my  breast with hot water then I comb it from up to bottom. It is painful process but it works.After that of course the massage lady did her works there too..Besides that, I frequently pump even the nipple hurt and bleed.

On the food, my mom cook for me virgin chicken (ayam dara). It is good to increase blood as we lost it during delivering process. It also good in increasing milk production. I also drink a lot of Milo and Oats. Alhamdulillah from time to time I can feel the tank is refill. : )

Confinement

It s been pretty busy during my confinement period. The baby is behaving well, it just the elders who demand more attention now.

I have not update the blog with my diet program as promised earlier. But I have been very selective on the food intake. I only take 2 meals a day and for other times, I only take oats and milo.

My milk production has increased as well but not as much as what I get during Aisha's time. Maybe because this big baby suck most of it.

I don't have weighting scale, but I am pretty sure I have lost many kilos. Will ask husband to buy one.

Currently, me and husband are actively searching for landed house. Since we have new addition, the family is getting bigger, hence require more space to move around.

In addition to that, I would like to state my disappointment towards the previous maid. She ran away when all of us were very busy since Aqeel was admitted due to Kawasaki Disease. Lately, I found out that she took 2 corsets of mine. I just notice it since I thought of using it for my confinement.

Jaundice

I think most of you have known that my baby boy has been admitted to PPUKM for severe jaudice. It is shocking since his SB reading is 457 which is already above the limit.

We notice that his eyes are yellowish but somehow, his skin is so reddish. So i thought that maybe he is having jaundice but minimal reading. We went to Pantai Cheras for baby follow up and somehow referred to PPUKM since their equipment is better.

The doctor explains to us in detail the reading and the option that we have. For SB reading above 428, they will go for blood transmission since there are too many red blood cells dying and it is not properly move through the digestive track.

So, baby and I were taken blood sample to be sent over to the Blood Bank. While waiting for Blood Bank respond, the baby was put under triple phototherapy.

When we were admitted, it was already 4pm and we have to wait until next day for Blood Bank to come back on the status. However, the SB reading has dropped to 359 by then. Hence, doctor concluded no blood transmission should be done. What a huge relief to me and the family members.

I of course am giving as much breast milk as I could. I only pump after I fed him and also making sure he is up every 2 hours for feeding. Based on study done, 60 to 70% jaundice happen to boys. I think because baby boy demand more milk than baby girl. Both my boys had jaundice. Aqeel was admitted to but his reading is not as high Aydin. Maybe because Aydin weight more than his brother.

However, we were discharged after 2 days stay and I must say it is such a horrible experience. Mom can only sleep at the ward at nights. There are room given to mom but it is quite far for moms who had just delivered. We have to eat, rest and go to toilet prepared in the room.
